Hi there! Dewi here, the artist behind
Dewi Draws - House & Home.
I was born and raised in The Netherlands, but I have found my heart and home in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Living on a mountain in a rain forest gives me plenty of daily inspiration for my art.
As a work-from-home mom in my 30's it is truely a privilage to be able to build my own business and work at my own pace, so that I can focus on my son while I work with passion.
With over 20 years of experience as a traditional artist (color pencil & acrylic paint), it was about time to bring my work out into the world. And what better way to do that than to combine two of my passions: art and home-making.
Every design is created by hand, then professionally photographed, and digitally prepared to use for my products. No artificial intelligents (I'm sad I even have to add this as a disclaimer, but here we are), just me creating with passion!

Step by step process
Step one: Drawing!
First I invest a lot of hours into creating a design.
Step two: Digitalizing!
To get a crystal clear print of my work, I first need to bring my drawings to photographer Dean from Pollocks Photography for optimum quality.
Step three: Print!
After editing the photos to make them print-ready, I have my suppliers print the product.
From there I can continue turning this print into a final product.
